My week with Luna, the cutest 4 legged beast!

I have never had a dog. My grandma had dogs, and I would hang out at her house quite a bit, but they were not mine. My sisters and friends have dogs, and there was an ex boyfriend who had a beautiful mutt dog I fell in love with, she was a sweetie!

A couple of weeks ago, I was catching up with my dear friend C and she mentioned she had a trip coming up and she was still trying to coordinate who was going to stay with her Rottweiler Luna! She had someone lined up but then they cancelled and she was trying to find someone urgently. Then, sort of joking but not, she asked me: would you want to stay here for a week and make company to Luna? I started to consider the idea and asked, what do I have to do. She showed me how she prepares her food, and then we went on a walk so I could see what she needed.

The neighborhood is nice and there are lots of trees, there are also a few parks nearby! I told her ok I think I can do it, she even offered to get someone to walk her but I have to do my steps anyway so I told her I could do it.

Luna gets really excited and a bit nutty if she sees cats or skateboarders, so that’s when I had to watch out the most and use all of my strength. Luna is about 60 pounds, thankfully not as big as Rottweilers can get, but still pretty big! And sometimes cats would show up out of nowhere, or skate boarders, so that was a bit scary, but also kept me on my toes during our walks, I think I double my steps as well. I also had to pick up her poop, which was not small, but it was actually fine and I always had extra bags just in case, and of course some treats!

My week with Luna is coming to an end tomorrow, as my friends will return from their trip. I had a great week with Lunita, and even though my friend asked me to be company for Luna, she was such great company for me! I am going to miss her! Thanks Luna, C and J, for trusting me! It was such an honor and Luna is a cutie pie, and maybe one day I will have my own little beast to take on walks! I now know for sure that I would love to!
